Large walk-in rack positioning for high production assembly line, fabrication stations and machining centers. The lift table is used to raise and lower the rack to the most optimal ergonomic working height so the operator can pick and place component parts.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For this application the top plate (platform) of the scissor lift table was modified to match the foot print of the rack. This allows the operator to walk into the rack and pick up or place the part thus minimizing the chances of a repetitive strain injury (RSI). As the dunnage rack levels are filled or emptied the Herkules scissor lift table can be raised to the most accommodating working height for the operator. The Herkules engineers customized the scissor lift tables to have counterweights. The counterweight is placed opposite the cut out in the platform. This counterweighed measure allows the lift to accommodate the large cantilever and moment arm effects placed on the lift during operation of the up down cycles related to the offset loads.<\/p>\n
